AC Association Croquet

National The Longman Cup is a national inter-club croquet tournament that is run each year in England and Wales. Club teams comprise 4 players who must each have handicaps between 3.5 and 20, and with their aggregate handicap being at least 24. It is a knock-out competition within each region, played with handicaps, with the regional winners progressing to the national semi-finals and final at the end of the season.

Watford has done quite well in this event over the years. We were national champions in 2001, national finalists in 2003, 2012 and 2015, and regional finalists in 2004 and 2005. In recent years:


Winning the Longman Cup in 2001

2015: we reached the national final, losing to Reigate Priory.

2014: we reached the quarter-finals, again losing to Enfield.

2013: we reached the quarter-finals, losing to Enfield.

2012: we reached the national final, losing to Roehampton.

2011: we lost in the second round to Guildford & Goldalming.
